RESULT GUIDE

What this information means

These results describe the public IP address used when your browser request reached VPNNu. They are useful for checking whether your connection changed, but they do not replace a complete network security assessment.

IP

Public IP address

This is the source address seen by VPNNu’s servers. Run the lookup before and after connecting to compare this field. A changed address indicates that browser requests may be using a different outbound route.

GEO

IP location

Location data comes from an IP address database and reflects a registered or inferred area for the address range, not your precise location. Carrier routing, address transfers, and database update schedules can all introduce inaccuracies.

ISP

Network provider

The ISP field identifies the network organization associated with the current public IP. After connecting, the displayed name may belong to a data center, backbone network, or another network provider rather than a consumer broadband provider in the selected location.

SIG

Proxy detection signals

This result shows only the detection signals returned by the GeoIP API. A detected signal does not necessarily indicate a connection problem, while no signal is not a guarantee of anonymity or security. Assess it together with the public IP and DNS path.

DNS CHECK

DNS leak check

A public IP lookup and a DNS lookup are not the same thing. A changed outbound address does not mean DNS requests are following the same route.

This page does not fabricate DNS resolver results or forward lookups to external testing sites. Use the checklist on the right to review your system, browser, and client settings and confirm that the DNS path has not been changed independently.

Check the client DNS settings

Review the current connection settings to see whether DNS takeover through the route is enabled. If the client offers an automatic or profile-following mode, prefer the option consistent with your current subscription configuration.

Check custom system resolvers

Open your system network settings and confirm that custom DNS settings from an earlier network are no longer active. After making changes, disconnect and reconnect so the system reloads its network parameters.

Check browser Secure DNS

Some browsers handle encrypted DNS independently and may bypass system resolver settings. If the public IP has changed but the DNS path is still unexpected, first switch to the resolver supplied by the current system, then test again.

Reconnect and verify

Clear the old connection state and establish the route again, then return to this page to check the public IP. If the issue persists, submit a ticket through the user panel with the client platform, selected location, and symptoms.

PRIVACY NOTE

Lookup privacy and limitations

VPNNu does not log the IP lookup results from this page. Your browser sends requests only to VPNNu’s same-origin GeoIP API; the page does not call third-party public lookup services or store results in browser local storage.

Results are shown only on the current page. If the API is temporarily unavailable, each field will clearly display “Temporarily unavailable” rather than substituting a preset address, random location, or cached sample.
